Is this legal advice?
No. Briefklar explains letters automatically and can make mistakes. Check important details in the original letter, and ask the sender or an advice centre if you are unsure.
Which letters does it understand?
Letters from tax offices, health insurers, debt collection offices, landlords, other authorities and companies – written in German, French, Italian or English.
Does Briefklar send my letters anywhere?
No. Scans and explanations are never uploaded – there's no account and no server. They're only part of your iPhone's own backup, if you've turned it on.
How do I cancel a subscription?
In Briefklar under Settings → Manage subscription, or in the Settings app: tap your name → Subscriptions → Briefklar. Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
Is there a version for Android?
An Android version for Google Play is in preparation – and so is a free extension for Chrome and Edge, for letters you receive as a PDF.
